Another painting in the series inspired by this one. Yesterday it was a flying rhino (now updated with a better quality photo taken during the day); this evening it’s a cow over a blue moon, inspired by the children’s nursery rhyme.
The cow is, of course, an Nguni. Below in an irrationally pink landscape are Ponte City, the Hillbrow Tower, Sandton City and the Michelangelo Towers. The background includes stars, fireflies, moths and the track paths of subatomic particles. The text reads “Here’s to a season of wonderful silliness.”
In the morning, I’ll replace this photo with a better quality image taken in natural light. But for now, this gives you enough of an idea.
